PHU SON Corporation has delivered the first high-speed bilateral glass edging and polishing production line out of a 4-line order placed by a loyal customer for two of their factories, following their experience with the first similar new-generation line. Currently, HISENG is in the process of manufacturing nearly 10 similar lines, which will be transferred to PHU SON Corporation’s customers over the next few months. The production line features an automatic pneumatic polishing wheel compensation system controlled via PLC (HISENG’s patented design), offering outstanding advantages:
  • Flawless polishing quality: Meets strict technical requirements for polishing thanks to the elasticity provided by the pneumatic cylinder to the grinding wheel.
  • Zero missed polishing spots: The polishing compensation feature is automatically controlled via PLC, ensuring no unpolished sections along the edges.
  • Simple operational principle: Keeps the entire production line system user-friendly, highly stable, and durable.
  • Highly attractive investment budget.
  • QR code scanning capability: The machine automatically receives orders and executes production commands without requiring any manual data entry.
  • Oversized glass detection feature: The entry point of the movable edging unit is equipped with an oversized glass detection system (also known as “allowance detection” or “second check”). The system automatically adjusts the speed to an appropriate edging rate based on the excess margin value to prevent glass chipping or breakage while protecting the motors from overload. If dimensions exceed allowable limits, the machine stops automatically.
  • Energy-saving, flexible, and efficient performance: Significantly reduces power consumption when the machine is running idle.
  • Remote network diagnostics: Allows online remote connection with the manufacturer’s engineering team for troubleshooting or software upgrades.
  • Communication interface ports: Enables seamless connectivity with upstream and downstream equipment, as well as data exchange with intelligent ERP and MES production management systems.
  • Real-time current monitoring: Amperage for all 48 grinding head motors is displayed directly on the touchscreen. Current values are captured via direct data transmission rather than indirect inverter signals, delivering higher accuracy and real-time updates.
  • Full CE Compliance: All electrical components and wiring connections comply with European CE standards. Each motor is equipped with an independent overload protection relay to ensure safe and stable operation.
  • Interference protection: Servo motors, servo drivers, inverters, and transformers are installed in a separate compartment to eliminate signal interference.
  • Latest Inovance MD800 inverter system: Each motor is independently controlled to minimize cross-motor interference. Supports automatic control mode settings and monitors the working status of each motor, transmitting data to the central computer for operational analysis.
  • Automatic wear compensation for polishing wheels via pneumatic cylinders: In automatic processing mode, when the glass moves into position opposite the grinding wheel, the locking mechanism releases, and the pneumatic cylinder applies a pre-set pressure onto the glass. Before the glass exits the processing area, the locking mechanism engages to hold the grinding wheel’s current position. This process repeats automatically and intelligently without requiring manual intervention.
  • SCT-series straight 90-degree rotary glass transfer table: Features an elevating system driven by a servo motor for rotation control, achieving high positioning accuracy and precise speed regulation. The entire drive system is controlled by inverters. Equipped with its own PLC, it easily integrates with any upstream or downstream machinery.
